Mary Adkins teaches at the University of Florida Levin College of Law. Her books include Making Modern Florida: How the Spirit of Reform Shaped a New Constitution; Chesterfield Smith, America's Lawyer, winner of the Florida Historical Society's 2020 Rembert Patrick Award; and Florida Constitutional Law: Cases in Context. Professor Adkins has researched and presented many times on Florida legal history.
